Mafi products are suitable for nearly all wood floors (Mafi floors must be maintained with Mafi care products for best results).
Mafi Wood Floor Soap Application Instructions
Basic Equipment
- Two Buckets
- A soft cotton mop
- A container of mafi Wooden Floor Soap
Cleaning and Care in one:
- Fill both buckets with warm water.
- Add to one of the buckets the mafi Wooden Floor Soap (125 ml Soap to 5 litres of water). The 2 bucket principle helps ensure that the clean soapy water does not mix with the dirty water.
- The Soapy water mixture is applied to the floor with the soft cotton mop.
- Allow a short time to work and then remove any excess water with the soft cotton mop and wash out in the second bucket. The mafi Wooden Floor Soap removes the dirt from the pores and this dissolved dirt is removed on the re-wiping.
- Thereafter, wash out the soft cotton mop in the second bucket with clean water.
- Steps 3-5 are repeated for the whole floor area.
Choosing the right wooden floor soap from the Mafi range also presents an opportunity to customise the colour of the wooden floor. Furnishings or even the walls change over the course of decades. The floor then doesn’t always still fit into the colour concept. The mafi wooden floor soap can change the base tone of the floor in nuances. So, as an example you can lighten natural oiled floors through regular care with the Mafi white wooden floor soap. The result can be reversed over time with the use of the natural wooden floor soap. A great opportunity to add small but often significant accentuations.
If the surface colour has changed in any way or oil has been removed due to any repairs, then a re-treatment with Mafi care products is recommended.
As a general rule: naturally oiled floors are treated with natural wooden floor oil and white oiled floors are treated with white wooden floor soap. Grey oiled floors should be wiped with grey wooden floor soap.
